Sales rose 6.5 percent at McDonald’s stores in the U.S. and also 6.5 percent in Europe. Analysts were expecting growth of 5 percent in the U.S. and 4.3 percent in Europe.Thank goodness that Donut World doesn't have to report its sales figures.

Some heartfelt economic news...
Yes, I'll fess up that after a couple-month hiatus, I did pay a "few" visits to McDonalds last month, but I didn't think I ate that much
